Tis the Season

It's week 45 of the Pet Photographer 52 Week Challenge and the subject is "seasonal". With the title of "Tis the Season", you probably thought this was going to be Christmas photos; gotcha! There's still plenty of time for that so I thought I'd do a different take on the theme and show my little muse, and best model Ginger throughout the seasons this year, although I have to admit that I had to reach into the archives for the winter image, 2015 in fact, for the last time we had some accumulated snow here in Dallas, Texas.

A simple little post this week, but it tells so much. I found it interesting to see the difference in the quality of light from one season to the next. Some of it is due to the time of day, but the position of the sun as it makes its way through the sky is quite different from winter to summer and that, along with atmospheric conditions, does change the quality of the light in an image. These images were all photographed in Coppell and three of the four right in my own backyard (we headed out to a field of wildflowers for the spring photo).

Let's see what the other pet photographers have planned for this week's "seasonal" theme starting with Pet Love Photography, serving Greater Cincinnati, the San Francisco Bay Area, and destinations nationwide and then continue clicking on the link at the bottom of each post for an around the world tour of beautiful pet portraits.
