August was a whirlwind of excitement and now that it's behind me, I just wanted to take a moment to share some truly special highlights with all of you. Last month, a few incredible things happened that still feel like a dream!
The Cover of Professional Photographer Magazine
First off, I’m beyond honored to have one of my photographs featured on the cover of Professional Photographer magazine. It’s such a humbling experience to see my work on the cover of a publication I’ve admired for years. With a circulation of over 30,000, it's no wonder that I've had so many people reach out and congratulate me, it's been really special.
This image garnered a bronze medal earlier in the year and now this. When I first started on this journey, moments like this seemed like distant goals, but to actually see it happen is an overwhelming and grateful experience.
Voted Best Photographer in Coppell & N. Irving 5 Years in a Row
Then, to top it off, I was voted Best Photographer in both Coppell and North Irving for the 5th year in a row! I can’t express how much this means to me. I am so thankful for the support of this wonderful community. Your belief in my work fills my tank, and I’m truly honored to have your trust. These kinds of recognitions aren’t just about the accolades, but about the amazing relationships I’ve built with clients over time.
Invited to Gallery Exhibit in Carmel, California
And, as if that wasn’t enough, I was invited to present one of my photographs at a juried gallery exhibit at the Center for Photographic Art in Carmel, California. Carmel is known for its incredible art scene, and it’s a huge honor to have my work showcased alongside luminaries such as Elliott Erwitt and William Wegman.
The exhibition is called "The Dog Days of Summer" The photographs in the exhibition were curated by Jan Potts and are for sale and a percentage of all sales will be donated to Peace of Mind Dog Rescue, an amazing resource for senior dogs and senior people on California's Central Coast.
