I decided that we needed a change of scenery last weekend so Rooney and I headed north to near the Oklahoma border to visit a friend - his first mom Emily who bred his litter - for some play time with her pack.
It had been a few months since Rooney had been back to the farm so he was a little timid at first, but eventually joined in the fun. I of course brought my camera to capture some of the shenanigans and when her terrier Deli started playing tug with her brother Demo, I knew I had my images for this week's theme in the Pet Photography 52 Week Project, "best friends".
Emily's farm is Border Collie central but Deli holds her own with the BCs and her husband Jeff always has a rescue dog to round out the mix, Demo is his buddy. Deli and Demo are the youngest of their pack and joined the family only a few weeks apart so it makes sense that they're besties.
