Now that your pet's photo session is over, it's time for the REALLY fun part, deciding how you'd like to enjoy the images! Some folks go into the session with a clear idea of what they want. It might be a piece of large wall art for their home, or an album that captures everything they love about their pet and I'll gear the photo shoot in that direction. Others say "I have no idea how I want to print them, I just know I want professional pictures of my pet" and that's ok too. I always capture a variety of images during every session to ensure that no matter how you'd like to print and display them, I've got you covered.
My Process Helps You Easily Choose Your Favorite Photos and Decide How And Where To Enjoy Them
The Viewing and Ordering Appointment For Your Pet's Portrait Session
It might surprise you to know that I typically take between two to three hundred images in the typical pet photo session, more if we're doing action shots. I do the really hard work for you of culling those down to forty to sixty of the best of the best and we then look at those together in the viewing and ordering appointment on a 55" television at my studio in historic old town Carrollton in north Texas.
Drinks and snacks are served and we start off with a slide show of all the images randomly assembled to give you a big picture idea of what captured. Many people already have favorites at this point. I then reshuffle the images in the order that we took them and we'll compare anywhere from three to five of each point of view, or location, to help you narrow down to your absolute favorites.
It's an easy process using custom software specific for this purpose and most people narrow the group down by about half on the first go-round. I've had many people tell me it's like going to the eye doctor; "Do you like one better? Or two?" It's a methodical process to prevent you from getting overwhelmed by all the pretty pictures. Virtually every client says "Thank goodness you were here" afterward as when they're stuck between a couple of images, I'll point out the benefits of both, or advise what might work better for a particular use like a vertical or horizontal hanging space in their home.
