Puppies make me happy. Heck, puppies make everyone happy! When I saw the prompt for this week's theme in the Pet Photography 52 Week project as "shoot from above", I knew exactly which images I wanted to share...PUPPIES!
I've been photographing a lot of puppies for both local dog breeders in the Dallas - Fort Worth metroplex, capturing their litters and breeding adults for websites, marketing materials and social media postings, but also for local rescue groups that I assist with my photography.
Below is the "Spice Puppies" litter that I recently photographed for Epic Animal Rescue. Not that puppies need much help getting adopted in the time of COVID (can you say "welcome to the wait list"?), however having unique images to help capture the imagination of would-be fosters and donors supports the rescue's overall mission so I'm happy to help (and hanging out with puppies is just a bonus!).
These puppy newborn images are what's called a "down shot" in that I'm standing directly over the puppy to photograph it, "shooting from above". With everything going on in the world right now, I figured we could all use a little "awww". You're welcome.
