Jo Lyons - Lovely result using the speedlight and scrim at that time of day Tracy. Loving that BTS shot too of Rooney ... those lips are stretching with every delightful scratch :D

Tracy Allard - Hi Colleen,
Yes, the speedlight was on a small lightstand and I used a remote transmitter to trigger it. I use this bracket: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/298709-REG/Impact_3117_Umbrella_Bracket.html/?ap=y&ap=y&smp=y&smp=y&lsft=BI%3A514&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIgPibpLSW6QIVoY5bCh00yAusEAQYAiABEgInZPD_BwE - and I have Canon flashes, so use the Canon transmitter to trigger them.

Colleen - The finished photo is gorgeous. I have one quick question. Was your Speedlight on a stand? Just wondering how you were able to have it off-camera. I have often thought of using a Speedlight outdoors but wondered how to have it off-camera, especially when it is only me working everything. The last photo of Rooney had me laugh out loud... real life! :)

Angela Schneider - Oh yes! What a perfect spot. Nicely found.
