I was recently engaged by The Residences at W Dallas Victory in the heart of Victory Park in downtown Dallas, steps from American Airlines Center, House of Blues Dallas and all the vibrant nightlife that the area has to offer, to help them celebrate their Pet Appreciation Week with their four-legged residents. I suggested to the Director of Residences Services that black and white, fine art pet portraits might have the broadest appeal to their clientele and he agreed knowing the personal style and decor of many of the units.
I set up a mobile studio in the lobby of the high rise condominium building. Residents were scheduled in 10-minute increments to avoid congestion in the lobby and to help reduce distraction to the pups. I met tiny Yorkshire Terriers dressed in haute couture, doodles and a couple of English Bulldogs. Each resident received a gift bag from Penny Whistle Photography along with two unique images of each dog as well as a family portrait if there was more than one pup. It was fun to spend some time in the city and see how high rise dogs live.
It's week 16 of the Pet Photography Blog Circle and the theme is "happiness". I love that the W Hotel and Residences Dallas Victory understand how important pets are to their residents. They bring so much joy and happiness to our lives, they deserve to be celebrated with professional pet portraits!
