On Valentine's Day we celebrate those that we love with things sweet and red. This year I'm marking the day by doing something I love, photographing pets and the people that love them so I'd like to introduce you to Turkey Kitty (@turkey_kitty on Instagram if you'd like to follow his feline shenanigans). When I learned that Turkey was a tuxedo, I thought he'd look great on red and I wasn't mistaken.
I enjoy photographing dogs, and there's not much better than puppy breath, but there's something particularly satisfying about successfully capturing a cat. You can't rush things, they need to explore every inch of my Carrollton studio before we can begin, but eventually they come around and start to do all those cat things that we love so much about them.
So what's black and white and red all over? Why Turkey Kitty of course! Happy Valentine's Day!

Elaine - Tuxedo cats look so great on red backgrounds, don't they? This kitty has the best expression in that last photo. You are so right about waiting them out in the studio.
