Dallas - Fort Worth Equine and Equestrian Portraits
The relationship between a girl and her horse is like no other and lucky for me, I'm surrounded by horse country from Fort Worth to the Aubrey / Pilot Point / Whitesboro areas of north Texas with little pockets of private barns in between.
When I was a kid, I would have gladly lived in our barn. I couldn't spend enough time with my horse. I not only loved riding, but also the bathing, brushing, trimming, clipping, cleaning etc. that goes into being the caretaker of such a magnificent animal. I know there are some horse-crazy boys out there too, but if I had to guess, I'd say they were outnumbered by girls ten to one.
I don't know what it is about girls and horses, but it seems like it's always been that way and for that I'm thrilled because there's not much that I like photographing more than an equestrian and her trusty steed. Whether it's your first pony as a young girl, a high school senior getting ready to head off to college or an adult woman who knows herself and what she wants, you should be photographed with your horse.
Do you compete with your horse? Trail ride? Rodeo? We can photograph it all, as well as quiet, serene moments such as the image below. When you think about the time (and money) investment of owning a horse, why would you not celebrate that with a portrait session and custom artwork for your home? Don't decorate your home with generic pictures, make it personal with gorgeous photographs of your own horse.

Nicole - Gorgeous image! When I was a kid, I loved all the horse stuff too. Not just the riding, but the bathing, brushing, getting ready for our little itty bitty events. Both of my sisters grew up to be horse people and I find them a little scary now. That could be because I took care of one several years ago who was a little wild and sometimes I thought she was going to run me over when I went to feed. One time she kicked me when when I was putting her food in the bin. I was so shocked. So anyway, that might be why they are scary to me.

Elaine - Love, love, love the photo! I am about to go out to my barn and groom, bathe and clip a horse, and I will be loving every minute of it.
