Little Semper Fidelis, aka "Deli" to her friends, marched into the studio like the little terrier boss that she is. I took one look at that wiry coat and knew I had my subject for this week's theme of "texture" in the Pet Photography 52 Week Project.
Deli is a Parsons Russell Terrier and I decided to photograph her against a black background at my studio in historic downtown Carrollton, Texas to really enhance the texture and spikiness of her fur...everywhere...but especially in between her eyes and on her chin. I also love capturing the texture of a nose. Did you know that a dog's nose is a unique as a person's fingerprint? No two are alike.
Good things come in small packages, so without further ado, I'd like to introduce you to Deli!
